PPR approval

Vogtareuth airfield requires PPR. You have two options — choose the path that fits your flight:

Self-briefing — Uncontrolled operations (FoB)

You operate on your own responsibility, without an airfield operator on site. Complete the online briefing once — then PPR is granted until revoked, as long as the airfield status is green.

Airfield status green + Briefing completed = PPR & uncontrolled operations granted

No phone call required — land without further notification.

PPR request with airfield operator

Procedures — brief overview

Approach
Radio call on 121.030 MHz approx. 5 min. before entering the traffic pattern. Runway check by flyover only required when the status is yellow. Watch the windsocks on the west hangar and on the runway. Park only on designated areas, with at least 30 m clearance from the runway centreline.
Take-off & departure
Check runway and taxiway condition. Take off according to AIP procedures. Report take-off via V-Tower or in writing (letterbox east hangar). Close any filed flight plan with DFS/FIS on your own responsibility.
Traffic pattern
South side according to AIP. Pattern altitude 3,000 ft MSL (approx. 1,000 ft AGL). Reduced power setting (noise abatement). Log each training exercise.
Glider operations
Mixed traffic — gliders have right of way (ICAO Annex 2, 3.2.2.3).
Refuelling
The fuel station is only available when the airfield operator is present — also possible on spontaneous and short-notice requests. AVGAS 100LL available.
Documentation
Log every flight movement in the main flight log (V-Tower or letterbox east hangar). Pay landing fees via PayPal (QR code at the letterbox) or in cash to the airfield operator if on site, otherwise via letterbox. State registration + name + date of landing.
Safety
2 × 10-kg fire extinguishers at the fuel station (NfL 2023-1-2792). Safety plan posted on site. Video surveillance with motion sensors (runway, east entrance, fuel station).

Full procedures including radio examples can be found in the online briefing.
