Notes on the fee schedule

The aircraft's maximum take-off weight (MTOW) as stated in the certificate of airworthiness determines the fee category.

A landing fee is also payable for any ground contact followed by an immediate go-around (touch-and-go).

The reduced training rate applies only to instructional flights conducted by a student pilot during training at an approved training organisation (ATO/DTO). Currency and practice flights by licensed pilots are not considered training and are charged at the standard landing fee.

Three organisations are active at Vogtareuth airfield

Motorflieger Club Rosenheim e.V.

MFC Rosenheim

MFC Rosenheim was founded in the 1950s and has been based at Vogtareuth airfield since 1971, where the clubhouse, hangar and fuel facilities were built. As an approved training organisation (ATO), the club offers flight training for PPL(A) and LAPL(A) licences on a Cessna 172 R. Experienced instructors accompany students from their first stick time to full licence — including Alpine flights from EDNV.

Flugsportgruppe Bölkow e.V.

FSG Bölkow

Flugsportgruppe Bölkow was founded in 1959 by employees of aircraft manufacturer Bölkow Entwicklungen KG and has been based in Vogtareuth since 1971. The club offers glider flying with Alpine and cross-country training, powered flight as well as introductory flights. The fleet comprises a Discus CS and Janus B (gliders), a DR 400 (tow plane) and a TB 200 Tobago XL for touring and night flying.

Hagelabwehr Rosenheim e.V.

Hail Defence · Based at EDNV

Hagelabwehr Rosenheim has been protecting a 4,800 km² area along the northern edge of the Alps from hail damage since the 1970s. Two Partenavia P68 C-TC aircraft based at Vogtareuth airfield fly into the updraft zones of developing hail cells during thunderstorms and seed them with silver iodide. This produces many small ice crystals instead of few large hailstones, which reach the ground as graupel or rain. Over 8,000 members and several administrative districts support the association.
